…is playing at Humphries Backstage Live on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 5pm – 11pm! Happy Hour is from 5pm – 7pm, every day of the week at Humphries! Trades Winds plays a variety of classic rock favorites in an island style.
The crowd always has a great time when Trade Winds plays – rockin’ out to songs by Jimmy Buffett, The Beatles, Bob Marley, The Eagles, Billy Joel, The Drifters and much more! There is no way you won’t be tappin’ your feet and singin’ along from your seat! Dancing is most definitely allowed (and encouraged)!
Humphries has great Happy Hour deals including 50% off selected food items and beverages (excludes Holidays and Concert Nights).
Come by on Tuesday and enjoy the music for yourself!!
Miniature Effect @ La Jolla Cove
I have a really fun point & shoot camera: Canon Powershot S95. Colors and clarity are great and it has various creative modes, including the Miniature Effect mode, which is my favorite.
Miniature Effect, also known as Tilt-Shift photography, creates some awesome images that look like miniaturizations of the scene.
On this camera, the focus is in a landscape bar or column of the image which you can change in-camera and ultimately focus on what you want. For this image, I focused a landscape bar, in the middle of the frame (specifically focusing on the people, mid-beach).
The rest of the image fades and blurs, creating a minature effect.
Pretty darn cool, if you ask me!
“A blog is merely a tool that lets you do anything from change the world to share your shopping list.”
I’ve always wanted to start blogging and now that I’m unemployed, I figure it is the perfect time for me to start!
This is hopefully the first of many blog posts to come. In my blog, I plan on reviewing many things:
♥ Products / Gadgets (primarily kitchen- and photography-related stuff)
♥ Recipes (emphasis on quick & easy)
♥ Cook Books (there are so many to choose from!)
♥ People (specifically heroes in our every day lives)
♥ Movies (in theatres or rentals)
I will also be sharing my own recipes, photography, DIY projects, funny/inspiring stories, interesting topics and anything else I can think of to share.
If there is something you would like me review or share, please let me know!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to bring you a little ray of sunshine now and then!
